Employment Qualifications
Hiring and processing of all employees will be in accordance with state law
and the regulations of the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
- In-depth background investigation of all employees to include:
- Criminal History Checks through City, County, State and Federal Checks.
- Drug testing
- Previous Employer (8 Year Work History)
- Motor Vehicle Record
- Drug screening.
- At a qualified laboratory through Urine and Hair samples, upon
employment, then after employment a semi annual random test on different
employees of NSA.
- State required training, plus additional in-house training in security
procedures.
- Each security officer will have a signed disclaimer in his / her file
regarding mandatory polygraph examination relative to any allegation of
misconduct. Our staff will conduct an in-depth investigation into the
allegation, at no extra cost to the client.
In addition, after employment, all employees will be expected to meet the
following requirements:
- Continuing education on the current and changing Municipal, State and
Federal law codes. NSA has instructors certified by the State of Illinois,
City of Chicago, and Federal Government.
- Re-qualification on the firing range. The State of Illinois requires
prequalification once a year, however NSA requires it twice a year. NSA
has range master instructors certified by the State of Illinois, City of
Chicago, and the Federal Government.
- Training to ensure all officers hold a valid training certificate in First
Aid, CPR, Auto mated Eternal Defibrillators (AED), Blood Bourne Passages (BBP)
as well as HIV/AIDS education. NSA also staffs Red Cross Certified
instructors for onsite t raining.
- Officers must complete a sensitivity and diversity training course every
six months.
- Each officer also is required to take a non-lethal force class every six
months.
